Why are there rules in the marine park?
Pulau Payar is a protected marine park, and certain rules are in place to protect coral reefs, marine life, and the natural environment for future generations. All visitors are required to follow these regulations during the excursion.
Can we feed the fish?
No. Feeding marine life is not permitted as it can disrupt their natural behavior and the balance of the ecosystem.
Can I collect shells or marine life?
No. Removing any coral, shells, or marine life from the marine park is strictly prohibited.
How can guests help protect the marine environment?
Guests can help by:
Not touching coral or marine life
Avoiding standing on reefs
Not littering in the water or on the island
Using reef-safe sunscreen when possible
Bringing reusable water bottles to reduce plastic waste
