Instructor / Dive Shop Manager
Meet Fila, our experienced PADI Open Water Instructor with 11 years of diving expertise since 2014. Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, Fila ensures a warm and inclusive atmosphere for divers from all backgrounds. Beyond her role as an instructor, Fila's skills extend to managing the human resources of our team, ensuring a harmonious, efficient, and healthy working environment. Senior Divemaster / Head Customer Service

With over nine years of professional diving experience, Shamil is one of our most trusted and well-loved team members. A proud local Divemaster, he knows every reef, current, and hidden gem around Pulau Payar like the back of his hand.
Fluent in Malay, Thai, Mandarin, and English, Shamil ensures seamless communication with guests from all over the world. His friendly personality, deep knowledge of marine life, and calm demeanor make every dive a safe, memorable, and enjoyable experience. As our Head of Customer Service, Shamil goes above and beyond to anticipate guests’ needs—offering guidance, reassurance, and genuine hospitality both above and below the surface.
His caring and attentive nature has earned him countless compliments from divers who return not just for the dives, but for the warmth and professionalism that Shamil brings to every trip.

Senior Divemaster / Fleet Coordinator
Meet Ciwi, our friendly and experienced Senior Divemaster who started diving at just 19 and has been exploring the ocean ever since. With over 16 years of experience, he’s not only a fantastic guide but also an amazing underwater photographer who loves capturing the beauty of marine life. Known for his sharp eye, Ciwi is a master at spotting tiny macro creatures that most divers might miss, turning every dive into an exciting adventure. On top of that, his solid knowledge of boat engines and technical systems makes him an invaluable part of our team, ensuring every trip runs safely and smoothly. Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, Ciwi’s calm and approachable nature makes everyone feel welcome — so whether you’re new to diving or a seasoned pro, you’re in great hands with him.

Junior Divemaster / Customer Service
Meet Jiha, a 23-year-old with an infectious passion for snorkelling and diving. Having started as our intern for six months, her love for the sport grew exponentially, leading her to become one of our esteemed divemaster trainees. Jiha's dedication and eagerness to excel have made her a perfect fit for our elite team.

With one year of experience since she began diving in 2023, Jiha's adventurous spirit is backed by a certificate in recreation tourism from a local college. As a snorkelling guide, she ensures guests have a delightful experience exploring the beauty beneath the waves. Jiha's cheerful and helpful nature, coupled with her knack for mingling and entertaining guests, creates a warm and enjoyable atmosphere on every outing.

With six years of diving experience, Nick brings a strong blend of skill, discipline, and quiet confidence to our team. Though he’s a man of few words, his sharp sense of humor often surfaces at just the right moments—surprising everyone with an unexpected joke that lightens the mood.
Highly athletic and dedicated, Nick is not only a certified Lifeguard Instructor but also the two-time champion of the Langkawi Lifeguard Open Water Swim Competition. His exceptional fitness and water safety expertise make him an invaluable member of our dive operations, ensuring every trip runs smoothly and safely.
Fluent in Malay and English, Nick’s calm and focused presence underwater provides reassurance to divers of all levels. Whether assisting guests or leading dives, he consistently demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and a quiet charisma that speaks louder than words.

Junior Divemaster / Air Technician
​At just 26 years old, Shaz has already made an impressive mark as a skilled Divemaster. His diving journey began right after school at the age of 18, and his commitment to the craft has only grown stronger since.

Senior Divemaster / Technician
Meet Hanif, our experienced and reliable Senior Divemaster and Technician with 10 years of diving under his belt. Hanif combines his deep knowledge of the underwater world with strong technical skills, ensuring every dive is safe, smooth, and enjoyable.
Calm, approachable, and always ready to help, he guides divers of all levels with patience and care. Whether assisting underwater or maintaining our dive equipment, Hanif’s expertise and dedication make him a key part of our team. Head Skipper
Pete journey began as a certified boat engineer, where he honed his skills in engine maintenance for four years. In 2011, he embraced the world of diving and became a certified divemaster, further expanding his expertise. In 2014, Apit took on the challenge of obtaining a deck rating, leading him to his current role as our valued Boat Captain. His unique combination of knowledge in engine maintenance, divemaster skills, and navigational prowess makes him an indispensable asset to our diving team.

With 15 years of experience under his belt, Apit brings a wealth of practical wisdom and proficiency to every excursion. His fun-loving personality infuses each journey with excitement, while his unwavering commitment to safety ensures a secure and enjoyable experience for all.

Born and raised on the beautiful Perhentian Islands, Eddie has spent most of his life surrounded by the sea. His deep connection to the ocean is reflected in his exceptional skills both as a skipper and a diver. With years of experience navigating various marine conditions, Eddie ensures every journey is safe, smooth, and enjoyable.
His friendly personality and genuine care for both guests and crew make him a favorite among divers and snorkelers alike. Whether he’s skillfully handling the boat or joining a dive, Eddie’s professionalism and calm presence always shine through.

Meet Abe, our energetic and creative Content Creator. He first joined us as an intern from a tourism college and quickly showed a genuine passion for diving and the ocean. Now, at just 21, he’s the main creative mind behind all of Scuba Club Langkawi’s social media content. Fun, curious, and always eager to learn, Abe picks up inspiration from everywhere — whether it’s chatting with tourists or working alongside the dive team. His fresh ideas, youthful spirit, and growing love for the underwater world shine through in every photo, video, and story he creates.
Hong
Logistic Assitant / DMT
Meet Hong, the newest member of our Scuba Club Langkawi family. After a long interview and selection process, he stood out for his attitude, reliability, and strong passion for learning. Always punctual and proactive, Hong loves helping guests and teammates even before being asked. Though still a Divemaster trainee, he’s eager to grow and absorbs every bit of knowledge shared with him. With his dedication, positive energy, and team-first mindset, we have no doubt Hong will one day become an excellent instructor and a valuable long-term asset to our team.
Syah
Junior Skipper
​​Meet Syah, our fun-loving and highly experienced skipper, native to Langkawi and a true seafarer at heart. Previously a skipper on a parasailing boat, Syah has logged countless hours on the water and knows the local seas like the back of his hand. Friendly, approachable, and always ready with a smile, he ensures every trip is safe, smooth, and full of fun. Guests quickly appreciate his easygoing nature and the care he takes both with the boat and everyone on board. With Syah at the helm, you can relax, enjoy the scenery, and know you’re in very capable hands.
EJ
Master Instructor / Head Technician
With over 22 years of diving experience since 2004, EJ leads our team with passion, professionalism, and a deep commitment to safety. As a PADI Master Instructor, he brings extensive teaching expertise supported by strong technical knowledge. EJ is a certified BAUER Compressor Technician, an IDEST (Inspectorate for Diving Equipment and Testing) Technician, and an authorised service technician for multiple major diving equipment brands.

Fluent in both Bahasa Malaysia and English, EJ’s approachable and engaging personality creates a comfortable, confidence-building environment for divers of all levels.
